Current State of Constitutional Justice Part II
(A Review of Important Decisions by the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court)
Published by Nepal Law Society
As a follow-up to the first review, this resource book is an outcome of a review of case completion rates, regularity of the hearing process and performance of the Constitutional Bench over the years from 2015 to 2021. It provides an in-depth analysis of ten unique judgements made by the constitutional bench over this period. Its objective is to provide guidance to the constitutional bench to effectively fulfil its role as envisioned by the constitution towards resolving any disputes amongst the three tiers of government, any conflicts concerning the election of federal, municipal or provincial assembly members, and any other cases in the supreme court requiring serious constitutional oversight.
