Mithila is a municipality in Danusha District of south-eastern Terai area in Nepal. After the government announcement, the municipality was established on 2 December 2014 by merging the existing Begadawar, Nakatajhijh and Dhalkebar village development committees (VDCs).

Formerly he served as a Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, where he served for 28 years. . He started his political career with the Trade Union Congress affiliated with Nepali Congress Party.. As the mayor, he is focused to bring changes in life of the people through development ofinfrastructure, education, agriculture, and health sector.

After being displaced during the Madhesh movement of 2062-2063, she moved to Kathmandu. . While in Kathmandu, she worked with the Madhesh Pradesh Liaison Committee of Communist Party of Nepal Unified Marxist and Leninist (CPN UML)
