Mr. Santosh Lal Shrestha, Mayor of the Tansen Municipality elected from local election 2022comes from a non-political background and has been involved more in education sector. And MBA, Mr. Shrestha served as the chief of Tribhuvan Multiple Campus, Palpa, and director at Lumbini Medical College . Ms. Pratikshya Sinjali elected Deputy Mayor of the Tansen Municipality in the election 2022, began her political journey during her student life; she joined the (then) Communist Party’s student union in college. Before being elected as deputy mayor of Tansen , she worked as a teacher and was actively involved in social work. She represents an indigenous group and is currently a province committee member of Nepal Magar Sang. She has always been interested in working for gender equality and social inclusion and wants to encourage more women to participate in every field. She is also a district committee member and chairman of the City Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center).
