This is a summary note from a high-level discussion program hosted by DFAT-TAF Strategic Partnership on Subnational Governance amongst the National Planning Commission (NPC), Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA), Provincial Policy and Planning Commissions of all seven provinces, three local government associations, and seven partner municipalities. Organized on 1 May, 2020, the main objective of the discussion was to provide a platform for the spheres of government for discussion and help bring clarity and coherence in developing next year’s annual plans and budgets. It was also designed to help strengthen intergovernmental relations and enhance coordination amongst spheres of government in their planning process.
