This is a summary note from a virtual discussion program organized with municipal stakeholders to discuss impact of COVID on Local Governments’ Annual Plan Implementation and Next Year’s Planning. Organized on April 20, 2020, representative and officials (Mayor, Deputy Mayor and CAO) from seven partner municipalities participated in the discussion including the chairperson of Municipal Association in Nepal (MuAN). The objective of the program was to discuss the effects of lockdown on annual plan implementation and next cycle of annual planning. However, the municipal stakeholders also prioritized sharing the steps taken by their respective municipalities on COVID-19 infection control, prevention and treatment; and relief distribution.
