Report on Municipal Round-Table Meeting
With support from Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade –The Asia Foundation (TAF or the Foundation) Strategic Partnership on Subnational Governance, Waling Municipality, one of the program’s partner municipalities, hosted a two-day Municipal Roundtable Discussion on 24-25 September 2019 in Pokhara. The event was participated by the Mayors, Deputy Mayors, and Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs) of all seven partner municipalities of the program, and representatives from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA), DFAT, and TAF.
The workshop aims:
- Exchange innovative/best practices amongst the partner municipalities
- Assess the immediate and long-term local governance needs of the municipalities
- Showcase innovative approaches adopted by Waling Municipality for the purpose of learning and sharing.
