Reflecting on the action plans that they formulated last year, the participants presented their learnings, and shared good practices. Officials from the Ministry of Forests and Environment (MoFE) highlighted the national climate change policies, priorities and the vital role of local governments in driving the localization of health and climate actions.
At the end of the event, the municipal leaders pledged to prioritize and collaborate on locally-led sectoral initiatives while also identifying key issues and challenges hindering local climate, health, and environmental actions at the local levels.
